Estimating

Written estimates are provided giving details of the work required and costs involved. Photographs can also be provided if requested. Estimates can only be given after a thorough examination. This can usually be done at the client’s home or premises but sometimes we need to inspect the piece at the workshop. Full details of the terms and conditions will be issued with the estimate.

Please note that our prices are VAT exempt.

Deposit

As we are a small business, we will ask for a deposit in the following circumstances:

For estimates totalling up to £600.00 – no deposit required.

For estimates over £600.00 – a 40% deposit is required before we commence work – with the final 60% due upon completion.

Unless otherwise confirmed in writing, payment is due upon completion of our work.

Insurance

Clients often find their home contents or commercial insurance policies cover their property while it is being restored and in transit to and from the workshop. We therefore ask that you check to ensure that you have suitable cover. If you wish us to provide cover we can arrange this at a reasonable additional cost. Please note that it is the client’s responsibility to inform us if cover is required and to inform us of the value of their property.
