Oak furniture restoration

This post shows what transformation is possible following the restoration of a tired oak bureau. Having been stored for many years the bureau was in need of some tlc! The woodwork was carefully cleaned and re-polished using traditional shellac/french polish, with a final coat of wax polish. Result - a lovely country piece ready to be admired again!
