We specialise in professional antique furniture restoration. Traditional methods and materials are used and we endeavour to provide the highest levels of craftsmanship, retaining the authenticity of your furniture. We undertake a wide variety of cabinet repairs and the restoration of damaged surface finishes. We can restore antique boxes and can replace damaged silk and felt linings if required. We also have an in house re-caning service along with a replacement leather service for desks and key cutting for old locks. Replacement handles and glass can be copied and sourced as well as traditional upholstery using specialist craftspeople.
The business is run by Martin Burgoyne, who is an accredited member of the British Antique Furniture Restorers Association and an approved service provider member of the London and Provincial Antique Dealers Association. Martin is assisted in the workshop by Andrea Marshall an expert french polisher. Between them they have over fifty years’ experience restoring furniture.
We carry out work for both private and commercial clients and provide a prompt professional service. Our workshops are situated between Hungerford and Newbury and we cover the south of England including London. We use a specialist carriage company who is in London on a regular basis. We are pleased to say that our fees are VAT exempt and our workshops are modern and provide a temperature-controlled and secure environment for your furniture.
